How to Show Google Photos on Android TV

Easy Photo Player turns your Android TV into a digital photo frame that displays your Google Photos as a slideshow. The app is free to install from the Google Play Store directly on your TV — open the Play Store on your Sony, Hisense, TCL, Philips, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, or any other Android TV device and search for "Easy Photo Player".

What you need

  • An Android TV device (TV, Nvidia Shield, set-top box)
  • An internet connection on the device
  • A Google account with photos in Google Photos
  • The TV or Android TV remote

Step-by-step

1

Open the Google Play Store on your TV

Important: the app must be installed directly on your TV — there is no web link or QR install. From the Android TV home screen, open the Google Play Store app and search for "Easy Photo Player" using the on-screen keyboard. Look for the icon by HD SofT.

2

Install the app

Select Easy Photo Player from the search results and choose Install. The download takes a few seconds. When it finishes, choose Open — or return to your Android TV home screen and find Easy Photo Player in the apps row.

3

Open the app and note the code

Launch Easy Photo Player from the apps row. A six-character linking code appears on screen.

4

Sign in on the web

On your phone or computer, go to easyphotoplayer.com/link, sign in with Google, and enter the code.

5

Select your photos

Pick the photos and videos to display. They start playing on your TV right away.

Compatible TVs

Easy Photo Player works on most Android TV devices:

  • Android TV 7.0 (Nougat) and newer
  • Sony Bravia, Hisense, TCL, Philips, and other Android TV brands
  • Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Mi Box, Xiaomi TV Stick
  • Available globally on the Google Play Store

Troubleshooting

Can't find Easy Photo Player on your TV's Play Store: Search the exact name "Easy Photo Player" (developer: HD SofT) directly on your TV's Play Store — not on your phone, web browser, or with a QR code. Make sure the device is running Android TV 7.0 or newer; older Android TV versions and phone-based Android are not supported. For phones and tablets, use the web app at easyphotoplayer.com to manage your photos.

Linking code not appearing: Restart the app. If problems persist, clear the app cache via Settings → Apps → Easy Photo Player → Clear cache.

Slideshow stops after a while: Free plan is limited to 10 views per day. Upgrade to Basic (€4.99/month) or Pro (€9.99/month) to remove the limit.
